Today you can find in regular jewelers’ shops and online an extensive range of friendship rings in all kinds of shapes and materials. Even if you are only able to spend $20 or $30 you can find some very nice, good quality designs.

A look at your own friendship ring says a great deal about your favorite buddy. Maybe you are wearing a traditional claddagh Irish friendship ring with its instantly recognizable crowned heart clasped between two hands and this indicates a desire to connect with an older heritage. Perhaps your ring reflects a religious or political commitment you share in common or maybe it carries a pattern that you both found particularly attractive. The material the ring is made out of can also carry a message. The use of diamonds, platinum and gold is usually suggestive of an especially deep level of affection and may indicate a pre-engagement gift.
